A core routing element in our network failed, all usual failover activities occurred as expected but left ~5k stale public BGP routes behind, resulting in outbound connectivity issues to a bunch of targets, including CloudFlare.

Stale routes cleaned up and investigations underway to resolve issue to avoid recurrence.
